I was invited to speak at the APC by Schneider Electric “AI is Here, Get Your Data Center Ready” Lunch & Learn, hosted by Informatics Engineering in Charlieville.
In my remarks, I shared why resilient and AI-ready datacenters are not optional but essential for Trinidad and Tobago’s digital future.
Healthcare – Hospitals and health centers now depend on reliable power and cooling. From imaging to intensive care, any failure directly affects patient outcomes.
National Resilience – As a small island state, hurricanes, floods, and cyberattacks can disrupt critical services. Secure data centers are now a matter of national security.
AI Readiness – Artificial intelligence is already changing diagnostics, monitoring, and planning. But AI depends on data, and data depends on infrastructure that is scalable, secure, and efficient.
Efficiency & Sustainability – Energy costs are high. Smarter power and cooling solutions help institutions do more with less, while moving us toward sustainable practices.
Partnership – Transformation requires collaboration. Global expertise from Schneider Electric, local innovation from Informatics Engineering, and strong public-private alignment will determine if we are just technology consumers or active participants in shaping the digital economy.
I thank Devindra Ramlogan, CEO of Informatics Engineering, and Jaime Reinoso, APC Territory Manager, for inviting me to be part of this timely discussion.
Trinidad and Tobago has the opportunity to strengthen healthcare, secure our institutions, and prepare for the next wave of digital transformation. I was proud to add my voice to that conversation.
